  • RenPrinters will not register, it tells me that my license is invalid.
Verify that the hostname that you used to register your product or download the demo is correct.

I have lost my registration key for RenPrinters, how do I retrieve this?
You may retrieve your registration key for RenPrinters by visiting our Retrieve License Key page.

I already have RenPrinters 1.6, can I upgrade to version 2.0 without paying full price?
Yes, we have the option to upgrade available in the shopping cart. You must provide your key from your prior version in order to upgrade or you will be charged full price.

I had to rebuild my server and the name changed so RenPrinters will no longer register, how do I register my product?
You must purchase a new license of RenPrinters. When you purchase a copy if RenPrinters it is registered for that specific server hostname.

I have RenPrinters v2 and when I start the service my printers will not rename?
Verify that your printers are not using a driver that is being ignored by RenPrinters. You can find out the drivers that are being ignored by going into the Configure RenPrinters application. By default the Terminal Services Easy Print driver is in this list. You may find out how to disable this driver on your server by going to: Terminal Services Printing.

I have RenPrinters v3 and my printers are being renamed incorreclty.
This can occur if you are running Server 2003 running RenPrinters v3 and your usernames connecting to the server contain a number. For example: HP Laserjet (from user3) in session 1
This would rename your printer with the appending part being based on the user session 3, not based on the session number 1 like it should. To correct this, do not include numbers in your user names.
